the weekend in leicester was great. on saturday night, bonfire night, we set off our very own fireworks at victoria park! the exhilaration of setting them off is amazing! lighting the wick and then running off to see it burst in the sky with a loud boom... yay! there was also sparklers which made firework fountains and and and some shot out random sparks which swirlled upwards and made a funny noise... somewhat along the line of "peouuu"
the pictures didn't come out great but it was really pretty! fireworks make me smile:)
leicester is a really nice city. the university ain't too far from the city centre so one can get around pretty easily. the architecture is great...intricate, esp so for the older buildings. and as bj puts it, no shophouse or building is the same as the one next to it. BJ has a really nice room! spacious and a bed so comfy that it makes it diffcult to get out of. it was a short visit(i ALMOST missed my bus!) but i left leicester feeling warm and fuzzy. sometimes being with BJ makes me feel like a kid all over again.(he even cooked for me *grins) and to think that he is only a year older than me. hee hee. leicester is pretty and has foxes! i never saw one but when i got on the bus, bj saw one! damn it!
