night before=chilling out, card games, cheesey garlic bread and pizza. well just a random shot.the sunset from my bedroom window. real pretty huh? well it was great coz it filled my room with this orangey glow! p/s: i love winter...esp the 'naked' trees
it's snowing in manchester! sumi made it a point to call me at 8:51am to tell me just that. hahaha. can't wait for it to start snowing in notts as well. snow snow snow. rumours that it was going to snow over the weekend were false. damn it! so anyway, on saturday i was somewhat volunteered to volunteer at the mss(malaysian and singapore society) games. basically, singaporeans from universities in england (ucl, lse, manchester, cambridge,leicester and the works) come down to notts uni and it is a day of soccer, netball, volleyball and what nots. ximena(my dear friend who volunteered our services.heehee) and i headed down to the sports centre at 8bloodyam.we spent our lovely saturday morning freezing our asses off as timekeepers for netball. pure joy!
we decided to take refuge in between trees while waiting for the shuttle back from high fields to the main uni campus. it did help though; the wind couldn't get us. hahaha :)
and were totally knackered(i love this word) at the end of the day! and yeah we bagged ourselves funky yellow mss games 2005 tees!
and then there were pretty pretty fireworks that night! since almost anyone can buy fireworks, they are set off ever so often here! sky flowers!it wasn't a totally great day though. becoz when i came back, half the study room was cleared out. charlie had left for home that very morning. boohoo. it felt really weird, like empty.
