i always look back at my years in crescent with fond memories. silly immature squabbles and gossips galore. it's funny how things worked out and thanks to a huge effort on my mummsy's part, i ended up in crescent girls'. (she even has a tree planted and all that!) i will always remember silly things which will always make me laugh. like mdm yap. how she cried when i told her only 2 people passed up her homework. (i should have been one of the two, being the math rep and all but hmmm...) janice tee and her a math lessons, complete with her signature high pitched voice. ( i really liked her. but mainly because she liked me too. but oh well. hee) mrs seah! and being informed during art exam in sec 2 that i was to see her immediately after the exam. great, they couldnt wait till after to tell me. mrs yip, always picking on meera for talking when it was actually me. urgh how i hated bio. but a certain friend would always have her class tests before us. she would then tell us what we needed to study and all that. hahaha. ms tay, telling my mum that i am an amazingly polite student and all that. my mum didnt believe her and started questioning my so called angelic nature. tuesday and thursday mass runs! timing our run past a certain condo so we could check out white boys going to school. it used to be all about the blonde hair and blue eyes. i wanted a nick carter of my own. hahaha. dream on yeah! well anyway, the reason for this is that i came across an article on crescent. which then prompted me to check out the school website. thing is crescent is now all that and more. the cut off point for psle is now like 240, but the mean aggregate score of students is 246!!! and check this out, they are phasing out physical textbooks.

(crescent's weblink!)

"Secondary one students have started using their Tablet PCs for their lessons. They use digitized textbooks for English, Science, Home Economics, Geography and History. Students build their knowledge of the topics by taking notes, drawing mind-maps, of which will be linked to the relevant topics in their Living Textbook, which makes studying and revising a whole lot easier! All classroom activity is also monitored by their teachers as Joycelyn of 1C2 quipped, “It makes us more interested in class. But we can’t play games, the teacher will know.” The teacher is able to view the screen of each student in the class through the Virtual Classroom application."

rather impressive ain't it. i think crescent has come quite far. and i am really glad. it's not like i was highly involved in school activities and all that while i was there. but i am definately glad i was a crescentian. yellow shirt and all. oh and and and miss seah, got married! hee hee hee... i dont care if it is old news to you.

more more more: just before the bio prelims, shaz asked me if i knew how the heart pumped blood. obviously, being the anti-bio, i had no clue. and so she went on to explain this and that. complete with her cacat hand movements (omg shaz! remember the cacat times we would talk and naturally do that hand thingy...hahaha) and all. and that question actually did come out. woo hoo. omg! and like for o levels. the day before the exam, i had asked sir a question and he went through it and what not. the next day, the exact question came out! but my dear preethi, being the preethi she is, actually used numerical values from the question the night before! seriously. doink! those were the crescent days. countless stories are running through my head right now. and it would be great to ramble on about it with those involved and have a hearty good laugh. soon enough, it will be the reunion of preets, sumi and me. looking forward to laugh-out-loud filled days. oh, and a grouch. hahaha.

because i said so! Nadz at
