i am obviously not going to go into such detail about each day in london. besides being totally time consuming on my part, i dont think i am very good with words so the posts would not reflect the flurry of events. not that the previous post did much justice but oh well, i was in the mood. so here are more pictures.

westminster abbey. we weren't allowed to take pics in the abbey but check out the queue just to get in.(pic-extreme right) frankly, i prefer the york minster.

and we checked out camden town market. its awesome. its the place to be for the alt punk rock scene.(middle pic, 2nd row) you see all sorts of people really. the goth, the punk etc etc etc. red hair, blue lips and what not. and though some of them look scare-ey as can be, they were rather friendly. or maybe i was just lucky i didnt meet the others. heehee. i was rather surprised. oh, and i got my happy-coloured snow cap from here. they do have a number of commercialised shops and what not. but still, camden just has a special feel to it. heh. check out the 2nd row, pic on the extreme right! BUBBLES!!! yay.

and then we headed to portobello road. yep, you gussed it, notting hill. aww. the market stretches all the way along portobello road. which is not short. different sections, selling different stuff. well although the market has more fruit and veg and toffees and random things and what nots-as all markets should be, i mainly wanted to go to check out the travel bookshop hugh grant worked at in the movie. hehe. yeah, so we walked all the way up and then was rather dissapointed that we could not spot it. and then on the way back, it occured to me that it might not be on portobello road itself but maybe a road adjacent to it. and the very moment i said that, and looked to my right, there it was! the blue travel bookshop. yippee. and no, i am not the only weirdo who took pics of it! and i also really like the pretty row of shophouses.(3rd row, middle pic) it is just off portobello rd and is so serene compared to the crowd at the market.

weee, we also made a stop by harrods. whoa, it is a building of luxury. the interior is be-au-ti-ful. and it is huge. HUGE. they have numerous halls of luxury selling branded goods and what not. my fav section was the food hall. well the section with candy and chocs to be more specific. duh! no not for the krispy kremes. which were housed elsewhere actually. but anyway, it was just so happy. it was really colourful and happy. oh wait, i just said that. :) i took the pic of the princess diana memorial thingamajic because everytime i see something princess-diana related, i think of my mummy. hee hee. anyway, u can actually see the wine glass they used the night of the accident and the ring he got for the princess. all i can say is, bling bling. it was diamonds galore. oh and they had a few of those cool looking gold mummy things around. real pretty if you see it set in the halls of luxury. the contrast with the marble and white is just beauty!

haha. random shots. i love the london underground. we got the hang of it pretty quickly. not that it was an achievement as it is not very complicated. but yeah. each tube station is different. (i think, well at least the ones i went to) and some of them are really pretty. like the funky art backdrop in the pic: 1st row, extreme right. and yeah my face is just so in your face. haha. well thats coz the backdrop thingy is not actually on the platform itself. yeah. hehe. and then there is the cute kitty from paperchase. i am trying to recall when we went to paperchase in london. heehee. but the one i went to in manchester was bigger. i dont think i bothered going to the main london outlet though. didnt want to tempt myself. ;) trademark christmas season red starbucks takeaways. and TGIF brownie obsession. cant you just hear it calling you? hmmmmm. brings me to a happy place.

and on that pleasantly sweet, chocolatey note, i shall get back to revision. because i have two papers tomorrow. blurgh!

because i said so! Nadz at
